AiMS History

AiMS EnvironmentalAiMS Environmental evolved as a partnership of three professional engineers, the name being a derived acronym of the principals' first names: Andrew, Mohamed and Sidney. The firm was founded in 1993 and the Markham offices were established in 1995. It has since grown with a full staff of engineers, hydrogeologists and environmental field technicians. AiMS holds a Certificate of Authorization from Professional Engineers Ontario to offer engineering services to the public.

AiMS combines over twenty years of experience and expertise in the fields of geo-environmental, chemical and industrial engineering. Our engineers have been actively involved in performing Phase I and II ESAs and Site Remediation for real estate transactions and property redevelopment in accordance with the Canadian Standards Association CSA Z768-01 guidelines and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) policy for environmental risk management.

AiMS has an exemplary track record, credibility and respect among professional peers and clients. AiMS principals are also individually licensed to practice professional engineering in the Province of Ontario, and the States of Ohio and Michigan, USA. AiMS carries professional liability insurance for errors and omissions in environmental consulting.

Over time, we have developed a host of loyal clientele, notably, financial institutions, property developers, property owners, property managers, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, architects, lawyers, insurance companies and adjusters. This is simply based on integrity of service and fair pricing. However, more importantly, we have authored more than 1000 engineering reports which have lent us credibility with major lending institutions, and that in turn, has translated into a distinction from competitors.

We are pre-qualified to undertake environmental studies for major financial institutions and insurance companies including the Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of Montreal, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, HSBC Bank of Canada, State Bank of India, Business Development Bank of Canada, Standard, Mutual and Canada Life.
