Job Description:
AiMS Environmental currently has a vacancy for a Junior Environmental Scientist to join our Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) team. This is a full-time (35 hours/week) position. We are seeking a dynamic, analytical, self-motivator who has proven field work experience, demonstrates sound research skills, and has an excellent oral and written ability.

Phase I ESA Job Duties:
- Compiling historical documentation
- Conducting building/property inspections
- Preparing of comprehensive Phase I ESA Reports
Phase II ESA Job Duties:
- Fieldwork Supervision of Boreholes/Monitoring Wells
- Soil Logging, Sampling/Groundwater Monitoring, Sample Screening
- Preparation of Sampling & Analyses Plans and Phase Two ESA Report

Minimum Qualifications:
- A University Degree in: General or Applied Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geography, or Physical Geology.
- Experience conducting Phase I and/or Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and/or Remediation projects in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Act; specifically Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z768-01 and Z769-00 guidelines.
- Must possess a valid Ontario "G" driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Asset Qualifications:
- Ability to write technical reports.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and AutoCAD.
- Works well independently, with minimal supervision.
- Able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Willing to travel across the GTA, with some out of town work.
- Solid time management and organizational skills are a necessity.
